Beautiful day

What a perfect day. The man in my life spent the whole afternoon getting wet and muddy at the lake (a day after being groomed). I'm going to miss him.

Tuscany

One week left!!!!  I have a million things to do but I've been procrastinating!!! The weather has been so beautiful that all I've been doing is lounging around in various parks with my dog, hanging out at Atwater market , huffing and puffing up the mountain in a crazy attempt to lose weight and a recently acquired addiction to Dr. Phil and Instagram.  Meanwhile I've been having vivid dreams every night about Italy, it's been so long and I really miss being there. The excitement is building up and I really can't wait. Had dinner with a friend on Monday who will be in Amalfi and Tuscany while I'm in Italy. This is dangerous as I have my own car the whole time I'm there!!!!

Here are more pics from my last trip.

remembering past trips

I'm having so much fun with this blog that I'm having trouble staying away even though technically I have nothing too interesting to write about other than taking cute pictures of my monkeys. So I'm sharing more photos of pictures from that last weekend. Only 2 weeks left and the butterflies in the stomach are starting. I'm a little nervous about what the farm will be like, will my back act up from sleeping in a strange bed, will Jodie and Kevin like me, will I like them, will I even be able to find the house???

Mostly I'm having some anxiety about leaving Toby for 3 weeks (possibly 4).  I've never been away from him for more than 2 weeks. To make up for our upcoming separation I'm slathering him with affection.  What a lucky dog.............

Casale San Lorenzo

This is where I stayed one summer (my room is the one with the open shutters).  This house is near the small ancient town of Valiagli.  I felt like I was on movie set every day, Truly beautiful.  For those of you who are wondering "when the heck is she leaving already", I'm leaving May 4th-can"t wait!

reminiscing

I decided to share some pictures of my last time in Italy.  This was a crazy weekend where my friend and I decided to fly to Tuscany for the weekend.  We found an amazing deal on a flight to Rome, left on Thursday night.  Arrived in Rome Friday morning-there was no one at the airport since it was October. We then drove to Orvieto, had a coffee in the piazza del Duomo and then went to the farmhouse that I stayed in that summer. This is a picture from that weekend at the hotel where they filmed scenes for "Letters to Juliette". There's a great view of Siena from the terrasse..

I can't help it

He's just too cute

Italian gas stations

Okay so maybe I'm a little crazy but anyone who knows me knows that one of my favorite things in the world is arriving at an italian airport, hopping into a car and seeing one of these on the highway. There's something so italian about that logo plus they just happen to make the best coffee on the planet. Even in the most remote parts of Italy where there's an old guy working behind the counter, you're guaranteed to have an amazing espresso.

Nothing beats it when you're jet lagged!!!!
